To run the new 3820 ribbon, you'll need to upgrade your software by firstly downloading the appropriate SmartDate upgrader then installing the firmware mentioned below.
SmartDate 3 Users
The SmartDate3 will support the new ribbon once the firmware has been upgraded to P3137.

The SmartDate5 supports the new ribbon once the firmware has been upgraded to V17.1.8 and above
